Our customs are manufactured using two commerical
fabrics: nylon or vinyl. Following is a list of terms that describe the various manufacturing methods that may be used in the
production of a custom flag or banner:
| Appliqué |
Dimensional lettering and logos that are hand-sewn onto nylon fabric.
May be single/reverse or double sided. Pricing is based on size, number of letters, letter style, logo (how simple or complex), and
style of finish, i.e. pole hem and fringe, brass grommets, etc. |
| Single/Reverse |
This term refers to the visibility of the letter and/or logo on the flag
or banner. Single/reverse means that the flag reads correctly on the front side and reverse on the backside. This method is considered
to be the industry standard. |
| Double Sided |
Double sided flags and banners read correctly on both sides (front and
back). Using this process, two flags are manufactured, lined, and sewn back to back. These "soft signs" are ideal when city
and town sign variances are an issue. They tend to be heavy and have a shorter life span than single/reverse. |
| Screen Print |
The screen-printing process utilizes two methods to create a beautiful
appearance. Whether a surface print or a dye, these flags and banners are the most cost effective when multiples of the same design
are required. They are single/reverse and wear exceptionally well outdoors. |
When considering a custom product, take into account the following questions:
- How will the flag or banner be used? Will it be indoors or outdoors?
- Will it fly on an in-ground flagpole or be hung off of a building on a pole
and bracket?
- Will it be a podium banner, table drape/cover, angle banner, wall banner,
street banner, etc.?
The answers to these questions will help us decide together which application
will be the best choice for your specific needs.
